Malmö is Sweden's third largest city, and is connected to Denmark via the Öresund Bridge.
Surrounded by nature and the sea, Malmo is a vibrant city with intimate streets and pedestrianised squares. Situated in the far south of Sweden, Malmo is known as the "Swedish Riviera".
In the summer, many visitors are drawn to Malmö for the sea and beaches, and tables fill up at Lilla Torg and Möllenvångstorget every night.
Malmö's nightlife and cultural offerings attract many visitors throughout summer and winter. The Malmo Opera och Music Theater is well known for its musical productions, and Malmöfestivalen takes place on the third week of August every year. The city is also home to one of Sweden's most successful football clubs, Malmö Football Club (Malmö FF).
It is possible to combine the trip with a visit to Copenhagen. A train over the Oresund Bridge connects Copenhagen to Malmo every 20 minutes.
