Organic Breakfast

At Nordic Choice we take responsibility and lead the way

For this reason we were the first hotel chain to launch an organic breakfast option at all our hotels. In August 2007 we carried out a survey on organic food and eating habits among a representative selection of respondents in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The survey revealed that most people are in favour of organic food and wider availability of organic products. 85 per cent of those surveyed were in favour of purchasing organic products, and many stated that they already purchased organic food in preference to conventional food on grounds of animal welfare, the environment and health.

As many as 60 per cent were willing to pay more for an organically sourced restaurant meal.

Another first!

The survey showed that organic food is important for our guests. Nordic Choice Hotels is based on customer expectations, which explains why we were the first hotel chain to offer an organic breakfast option at all our hotels.

We aim to give our guests the healthiest and tastiest breakfast, and help boost demand for organic food. At our hotels you will find organic options when it comes to bread, drinks and beverages, eggs, breakfast cereals, and spreads and cold cuts. As our guest you can eat a filling, 100-per-cent-organic breakfast.

Why organic?

Organic food benefits animals, the environment and everyone’s health. Organic ingredients are produced as nature intended, and with minimal use of additives.

Animals’ natural behaviour and needs are taken care of to the greatest possible extent, and nature’s own processes are central to the production of feed, compost and fertiliser.

Organic food production is better for the environment than conventional food production. This is because lower energy consumption and not using artificial fertilisers and chemical sprays help cut emissions of the greenhouse gases carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide. Workers on organic farms avoid many of the health problems encountered by those who work on farms where non-organic chemicals are used.
