Nordic Choice Hotels

Nordic Choice Hotels wishes to document the extent of its greenhouse gas emissions, and to this end prepares environmental accounts. In order to be able to adopt a targeted approach to cutting emissions, it is important to first map their scale.

The environmental accounts are based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Initiative, which is the most important international standard for measuring greenhouse gases and is managed by the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). We include all emission sources laid down under the GHG Protocol’s Scope 1 (own direct emissions) and Scope 2 (emissions from purchased energy), plus business travel within Scope 3 (other indirect emissions).
